Yousef Abdullah received his B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from Kuwait University, Kuwait, in 2013. He worked at the electrical power distribution networks at the Ministry of Electricity, Kuwait, in 2013 and Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) in 2014.  He is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University. 

Yousef founded the Robotics and Automation Society of Kuwait "RASK", in 2012, and the "Idea Link" initiative, in 2013, for teaching collage students about electronic circuits design and scientific development. 

His current research interests include power electronics, renewable energy, and control. 


  • ​In 2006, he was awarded as the best student at the Electrical Engineering program at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR).
  • In 2013, his graduation project "Chess Robot" was nominated for the best 4 electrical engineering projects.
  • 3rd place winner in the Third National Robotics Competition of Kuwait Universities and Institutes, 2014.
